Expansion of logistics through the construction of a new high-bay warehouse<\/h1>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Seeberger is increasing its capacities with an additional high-bay warehouse and an expansion of the existing internal logistics system in order to be able to efficiently meet the increased demand in the future. The ground-breaking ceremony took place on October 8, 2024 in the presence of Ulm’s Lord Mayor Martin Ansbacher and representatives of the main partners Schmid and Swisslog. Completion is scheduled for spring 2026.[\/vc_column_text]

Swisslog)<\/small><\/div>[vc_column_text]In the extremely challenging year 2023, Seeberger was able to increase sales of its natural snacks such as nuts and dried fruit as well as coffee by around 7% and is planning similar growth to around EUR 335 million in 2024. “To ensure that we can continue to realize our long-term growth strategy on both the German and international markets, we are continuing to invest in high-performance and efficient processes for our customers,” says Clemens Keller, Managing Partner of Seeberger. “We have the confidence to make this investment despite the current major challenges. Cost inflation and rising raw material prices are causing us problems and putting a huge strain on our earnings.” With a length of 90m, a width of 21m and a height of 45m, the new high-bay warehouse will offer space for around 20,000 pallet spaces and is scheduled to go into operation in spring 2026. The warehouse will be attached to the existing logistics area in the north-east of the company premises to ensure an optimal flow of goods, even if the planned growth leads to a further increase in goods movements. The new type of fa\u00e7ade cladding ensures a stable temperature spectrum inside the warehouse in both summer and winter. This means that the warehouse for the high-quality, packaged natural products does not need to be actively cooled. As part of the ambitious sustainability strategy, the use of photovoltaic modules on the new building will add around 1 megawatt (peak) of power to the photovoltaic areas already installed on the existing buildings. This will enable Seeberger to cover around 40% of its electricity requirements from its own generation from 2026. The investment volume for the entire project amounts to around 20 million euros with a construction period of one and a half years.[\/vc_column_text]
